Double Negative Voters — Who Are They?

There is a substantial segment of the electorate that has not been identified, has not been modeled and has not been targeted precisely with nuanced communications. They do not like President Biden, do not like Donald Trump, and a subset of this group won't vote for either, leading to a substantial third-party vote. There are always voters like this in every election cycle. However, in 2024, they represent — potentially — 25% of the electorate. These voters are “Double Negatives.”

But, for the first time, we have a way to target these voters accurately. This is a real breakthrough in terms of being able to reach this group; changing the dynamics of the election along with the composition of the electorate. Ultimately, this could be a game changer in determining the outcome of the election.

This month, a unique model identifying these “Double Negatives" was shared for the first time. The team on this project has decades of experience. Page S. Gardner, Principal of PSG Consulting, worked with TargetSmart, represented by veteran political strategist Tom Bonier and predictive modeling expert Danny Metcalf along with Geoff Garin, President of Hart Research. This webinar is co-presented by PSG Consulting and Innovating for the Public Good: R&D for Democracy.
